The Sari Organic Walk is our family favourite - once you’re up the initial hill it’s an easygoing amble on a paved path through beautiful rice paddies. At only 800m it’s a short walk and a good distance for Jessica to manage. Our favourite spot for a juice or sunset beer is Cafe Pomegranate.

We usually park in Jalan Bisma - a unique little street made up of cement tiles inscribed with names, signatures and art. Like Ubud’s very own “walk of fame” it is lined with great warungs and cheap eats so makes a perfect place to grab dinner after your sunset beer.

The meandering path weaves through rice fields and is dotted along the way with villas, art shops and cafes. Most people follow the path to the popular “Sari Organic” but our personal favourite spot is “Cafe Pomegranate”. A circular raised platform with gazebo style roof it has beanbags and low tables around the edge with fabulous 360 views across the rice paddies. It is a wonderful place to just sit back and enjoy a few Bintangs whilst taking in the beautiful sunset. The excitement and adventure of the twilight walk back as “torch-master” makes it a firm favourite of Jessica’s too.
